Some 15 years ago in Savonlinna, I taught my two companion dogs circus skills, and among them I taught my white Japanese spitz to balance on a some half a meter high ball. Such can be dangerous if one does not have the skills of coming safely down from it. So at first we practised feeling the ball sensitively and coming down from it.
This summer there has been in the news an awful crime of a car having pushed a small motorcycle away from the road. But the young boy driving took care to drive slowly enough, so he just slowed down and stopped to the roadside, instead of being drawn with the car, and so the damage was much smaller than what it would have been without that car driving course kind of safety attitude.
